The Last Man on Earth (Italian: L’ultimo uomo della Terra) is a 1964 Italian horror/science fiction film based upon the Richard Matheson novel I Am Legend. The film was directed by Ubaldo Ragona and Sidney Salkow, and stars Vincent Price. The script was written in part by Matheson, but he was dissatisfied with the result and was therefore credited as “Logan Swanson”. William Leicester, Furio M. Monetti, and Ubaldo Ragona were the other writers. It was filmed in Rome, Italy (some location shots were taken at Esposizione Universale Roma). It was released theatrically in the United States by American International Pictures. It has since fallen into the public domain. MGM Home Video, the current owners of the AIP film catalog, released a digitally remastered widescreen print on DVD in September 2005. I DID NOT MAKE THIS VIDEO. The Fly is a 1958 American science-fiction horror film, directed by Kurt Neumann. The screenplay was written by James Clavell (his first), from the short story “The Fly” by George Langelaan. It was followed by two sequels, Return of the Fly and Curse of the Fly. It was remade under the same title in 1986, and was slated to be remade again in 2006. The latter remake has been delayed. The film had spawned two sequels, Return of the Fly in 1959, and a second and final sequel, Curse of the Fly in 1965. It also had a remake of the same name in 1986 directed by David Cronenberg, which itself spawned a sequel, 1989′s The Fly II. I DID NOT MAKE THIS VIDEO. I DO NOT OWN THE CONTENT FROM THIS VIDEO. Earth vs. the Flying Saucers is an American black and white science fiction film, directed by Fred F. Sears and released in 1956. The film is also known as Invasion of the Flying Saucers. It was ostensibly suggested by the non-fiction work Flying Saucers from Outer Space by Donald Keyhoe. The flying saucer effects were created by Ray Harryhausen. Plot Overview: The film is set in 1956, one year before the first satellite, Sputnik I, was launched into orbit around the Earth. “Project Skyhook,” a proposed American space-exploration program to launch a dozen satellites, is visited by an alien flying saucer. A misunderstanding by the Earthlings leads to the aliens being fired upon, and they retaliate by destroying the project site, killing everyone except the two principal characters, Dr. and Mrs. Marvin (a scientist and his wife & secretary). The sequence of events quickly spirals out of control and leads to a full scale invasion. Flying saucers attack Washington, DC, Paris, London, and Moscow. In the end, the alien saucers are defeated over the skies of Washington by a device using high-power sound coupled with an electric field that stops the saucers’ propulsion systems. Heavy Metal is a 1981 Canadian animated film from executive producer Leonard Mogel, who was also the publisher of Heavy Metal magazine. With Ivan Reitman producing and Gerald Potterton directing, the work was expedited by having several animation houses working simultaneously on different segments, including CinéGroupe and Atkinson Film-Arts. The film is an anthology of various science fiction and fantasy stories adapted from Heavy Metal magazine and original stories in the same spirit. Like the magazine, the film has a great deal of graphic violence, nudity, and sexuality. A sequel titled Heavy Metal 2000 was released in 2000. I DID NOT MAKE THIS VIDEO.
